About

Anicca Pictures is a production company producing high-quality fiction, documentary, and shorts together with people from every background of life, with an open eye for minority talents, both in front and behind the camera. We want to contribute to diversify films for the big screen, streaming platforms and tv.

Anicca Pictures AS is founded and run by Ali Parandian (b.1982), a Norwegian-Iranian director, producer and artist currently living and working in Norway. In 2010 Parandian completed his BA-degree from The Norwegian National Film School, Lillehammer University College. And has since worked on personal and collaborative projects. He won an Amanda in the category best short film for his fictional debut (No man is an island, 2017). He is currently the CEO, Producer and Artistic Leader of Anicca Pictures and Oslo Film School.

Our company started small, producing the Amanda-winning short film NO MAN IS AN ISLAND. And right now we are in post-production with our first feature film, directed by Ali Parandian. We have also initiated to start Oslo Film School, a pilot project with aims to establish a one-year film school by 2026. We also run Cinema Tehran, Oslo a multicultural cinematheque and cultural evening focusing on Iranian films, art, music, literature, and food. A monthly event and screenings at Cinemateket in Oslo. And founded PAN Base - a recruitment portal for professional working talents with minority background.
